1973

Swansea Cyrenians opens first house in Alexandra rd, staffed by volunteers

1989

Two direct access hostels in operation. Paxton St. (13 beds), Stembridge Ave. (10 beds).

1993

Stembridge Ave. closes. Replaced by two 6-person floating support projects.

1995 - 1999

Several small lottery funded services begin - including youth homelessness, arts and furniture.

1999

ResaRec opens at Llansamlet. Dragon Arts opens at Wind St.

2000 - 2002

Tenancy Support service opens (30 persons), funded by Supported People, Ty Betty Williams opens (4 persons).

2002 - 2005

ResaRec moves to Hafod Yard, Cyrenians purchase 54 Morfa Rd. (Dragon Arts) and part of St. Matthews church, High St. (Community Centre).

2009

Cyrenians Supported Employment and Training project begins. Planning begins for 8-person older persons project to open 2011.

 

1994

National Lottery established.

1998

National Assembly for Wales established.
