
All members who engage in courses are seen as moving closer to employment.
They are supported through structured individual guidance to meet short and long term goals and to work towards accredited qualifications if they so wish.
Cyrenians Cymru and its members were proud to receive no fewer than four
awards from the National Institute of Adult Continuing Education in 2005.
Members won individual and group awards while two tutors were singled out for
outstanding work.
Significant investment in the Swansea Bay area, including
the SA1 development and the new marina, will increase
numbers of job opportunities in the region. We want
our service-users to benefit from these opportunities,
along with our own work initiatives, to break the cycle
of poverty and deprivation that accompanies long-term
unemployment.
We recognise that this can only be achieved through
partnerships and support, and we are building links with
construction, marine businesses, local retailers, public
and third sector employers to maximise opportunities
for Cyrenians service-users.
