Supporting people has always been the core
aim of Cyrenians Cymru. Our service users are
generally the hardest to reach, but often the
most in need of help. Many of them have
unsettled lifestyles, physical or mental health
problems and often difficulties associated with
alcohol and drugs.
Cyrenians Cymru works hard to promote social
inclusion, giving our service users the help they
need to fulfil a direction in life that many of us
take for granted.
Our 13 bed direct access hostel, run in partnership with Family Housing
Association (Wales), is the cornerstone of the services provided by Cyrenians
Cymru. It is funded under the Supporting People grant programme and links
closely with Tenancy Support and resettlement services.
Each resident is provided with a room, their own key and breakfast and evening meals. The hostel is staffed 24 hours a day, and we aim to provide a relaxed, tolerant and supportive environment.
Ty Betty Williams has four bed-sitter flats with communal lounge and garden. All
utility bills and housing benefit claims are managed by project staff. This project,
run in partnership with the Gwalia Housing Group, is for people over 50 years
old.
